Hutton Drive

The man behind Hutton Drive is Glasgow man Domenic Cappello. Domenic has been resident D.J. alongside Harri at the Sub Club, Glasgow for over 13 years. His talents are now in demand worldwide. Whilst forging his DJ career, Domenic has kept  busy producing great music.

Through his early involvement with Back to Basics, Leeds’ pivotal club night, Domenic met his now great friends- Ralph Lawson, Huggy and Carl Finlow. As a collective, they created the seminal Sheltered and Shielded E.P.s, which heralded the birth of the 20/20 Vision label, currently one of Britain’s biggest dance music independents. From this platform Domenic has went on to create some of the most original material that you are likely to hear from a British house producer. The “Space City” E.P. on the 20/20 label, produced with Carl Finlow was a landmark production - jazz tinged and incredibly soulful, this was Domenic at his challenging best. A spate of other Urb n’ Ri releases and some great work for smaller Glasgow labels led on to his first tracks as Hutton Drive on Slam’s Soma label. The first E.P., featuring the brilliant “House Train” was followed by the most recent “Push It” release, which brought critical acclaim. As a Director of Seventh Sign, Domenic now records exclusively for us. Domenic’s first release on the label, “O.S.B” has brought him now fully to the attention of the world’s dance music fraternity. His strongest release to date, described by Laurent Garnier as “like light at the end of a tunnel” - the critical acclaim it has brought speaks for itself (see more details further on).
